Why Massage for Small Animals?

Like humans, our four-legged friends are prone to the same aches and pains, physical and emotional strains and stress we experience. I believe touch is as essential as food and water to every animal. My goal is to make every Tail happy and Pamper every Paw!

Some of the benefits of Massage are:

  • Improves circulation
  • Relaxes the muscles
  • Releases tension & anxiety
  • Increases range of motion and flexibility
  • Helps with muscle function & joint action
  • Increases the amount of nutrients to the muscles
  • Eliminates waste & toxins within the body
  • Support for soreness from injury, surgery, or grief

Well, Why not?

Massage can assist in:

  • Relieving pain from arthritis
  • Decreasing inflammation
  • Mobility
  • Reduction of knots, adhesions, & scar tissue
  • Promoting health and wellness
  • Body awareness

Canine Candidates:

  • Growing Dogs
  • Older Dogs
  • Sporting/hunting Dogs
  • Agility Dogs
  • Working Dogs
  • Hyperactive Dogs
  • Your best friend!

The soul is the same in all living creatures, although the body of each is different.

Cats love massage too!  Even though more flexible than dogs, they sometimes have strained muscles and feel the effects of aging. As we all know, cats would love a massage simply because they deserve it!

Massage is not a substitute for veterinary care.  When performed by a trained and certified person, it works with the individual needs of your companion along with veterinary-recommended treatments.  The massage therapist may even detect subtle underlying problems that may prompt a visit to your veterinarian.
